I expected a decision by the time I woke up this morning!!!!!

 

What do you expect with punch cards? accuracy? Some say the holes didn't line up correctly and most ppl voted for Buchannan, but who knows for sure.

 

I expected an answer by the time I went to bed at 3:00am. This is very frustrating. I am only 24, so I have not experienced such a close race. I feel like I'm watching the Indy 500.

 

BTW-
Mine was a "fill in the bubble" sheet, not the hole punch type.

 

At least you didn't have to write the names like on survivors........
But again...Gore and Bush is as easy as it goes as far as spelling is concerned.

Don't blame your age, I'm twice that and have never experienced this either.

 

You don't recall the Kennedy - Nixon election? Many felt Nixon should have asked for a recount in Illinois (lots of dead voters in gregstevens neck of the woods).

Nixon thought it would put the nation in turmoil and conceded gracefully.

BTW I know about this only through my history lessons, I was not there.
