well my company let go about 40ppl today out of close to 200 total.. one of which was 1 of are group of 3 creative people.. and us two that are left will be let go at the end of this billable project.. which means..

no s2000 for me. unless of coarse i can manage to find a job soon.. my stook is due in mid' april. scary.. so many cardboard boxes in peoples cubes today.. pretty much w/ no warning.. just like a scene out of Office Space.

needless today i'm buzzing at this point (beer on tap at work) one of the perks i'll miss.

Ouch, dude, that SUCKS! But you're a smart guy, something will happen soon. Your field moves very quickly. Just get into something that is solid so you can get things together.

While an occasional rocky road, being on your own has its advantages...think about that, too!

Unfortunately I have no idea what work is hiring for right now, but if you want to give me your resume I'll be happy to send it in.

Man, that sucks! But like someone once said to me after I really messed up a midterm, "What's life without a little stress?"

My company is still looking for someone with your qualifications. I can make inquiries Monday if you're interested. We have your resume on file. Of course we are located on the other side of the Metroplex in Arlington near Six Flags and the Ballpark. Might be a bit of a commute. I'm confident you will find something pretty soon.

Really sorry to hear that
If it's any consolation for you, I have a theory, Fortunatly worked for me every time. Every time I quit or get fired I come into something better. I hope this works for you as well. Just don't get complacent and stop trying. Keep thinking about the S2K and it WILL happen.

Best of luck!!

Mike

Sheesh! Poor Stook! A minor setback like that, and the Stook is the first thing to go. Life's not fair
