Naproxen is an anti-inflamatory that I take for my left knee. Don't know if it has any type of pain relief to it or not. I haven't noticed any.

I actually have knee problems. Im a firm believer in not taking medication. Proper hydration and stretching will help alot. Medication is just a temporary fix and would just lead to more problems later. Just my opinion though.

I happen to agree with this.

There is a cause of your pain and any pill that you find off the shelf is likely going to just mask the symptoms...but there's a reason we have symptoms: to tell us when something is wrong.

We hide pain with pills and drugs but often forget to take steps to fix the actual cause of the problem. I think in your shoes I would be online doing research to find out what (biologically/medically) caused the problem and how you can get rid of the cause of the pain.

I can tell you know its prob a swollen tendon, ITB is my guess.(Thats whats wrong with me, and its a very common porblem), stretch every night before you go to bed after about 3 or 4 weeks the pain should go away. Just a guess though.

my job is very hard on me,..i valet at a casino and i run on cement and run stairs all day.....probably up and down 2 flights of stairs probably on average 50 times a day plus some parking garage ramps about 20 or more times a day. my shoes(as some of you have read on my shoe threads) i have noticed are an issue but just recently i have noticed a sore right knee sometimes. i dunno, i just thought there was some over the counter natural supplements as i see at Whole Foods.
I'll try stretching more and switching shoes out (again) but we'll see what happens
