Sort order for forum topics
Here's an off the top suggestion. Can we sort the posts so that the most recent appear at the top?
I'm sure that a lot of folks who frequent this board get tired of all that crolling to see the most recent messages. It seems a natural thing to want to read the latest stuff first.
Also, when the thread gets long, like 2-3 pages, it's kind of a pain to wait for page 1 to load before you can go to another page and then scroll some more....
What do you all think?

That is an easy option offered by UBB so implementing it would be easy. I like the idea but didn't do it because it would be very different than what we were used to. What would be best is if this were a personal preference but it is global as is. Maybe a new hack to work on.
Won't we lose track of older threads that are still active this way? I like things the way they are now. If no one responds to a thread thereby relegating it to the second or third page, then, by definition, the board is not particularly interested in it. I would also point out that it is possible to click on the last poster and immediately go to the end of a thread. This is a great time saver.
Cthree, I guess a personal option would be best.
Also for the record, I was talking about the messages inside the topic itself. I was not talking about sorting the topics on the top level.
cthree, if you get this "hack" in, that would be way cool.
