Why ban "political" posts on OT board?
Why are "political" posts not allowed? If your answer is because it's policy, please explain rationale behind it. Not looking for controversy here, just trying to reconcile the presence of truly disturbing posts (ie links to pedophile sites) on this forum with the banning of seemingly harmless political discourse.
I could not agree with you more. Who ever moderates this OT board act like people will bust in flames if they read something political. Honestly, what is the big deal? If you think a particular thread will upset you, *DON'T READ IT*
Yellow s2000, I have no problem obeying the moderator's rules, but I would like a RATIONAL explanation for them. I don't see one in the thread you've alluded to. Irrational or not , if I post here, I will obey. Charly
C3 set up this board and loses money keeping it running for the benefit of the S2000 community. If he provides the forum to you FOR NOTHING and doesn't want politics, then don't give him any politics.
You cannot find anywhere else on the web to post your political rants/jokes/complaints besides a car enthusiasts site??? And why does he owe you a "RATIONAL" explanation?
Alternately, pay to create your own site and for the monthly bandwidth charges and start you own site. Good luck.

1) "Because he says so" does not answer why the owner bans politics.
2) There are many divisive discussions in these forums, some of which have resulted in member banishment. It is NOT the topic that is divisive, it is the tactics ( such as personal attacks) that people use that result in divisiveness. Certain behaviours should be banned rather than the topic. Nonetheless, I will obey the rules. No flame intended. Charly
