As a HUGE NASCAR fan, I felt like I should reply. For one, Jimmy Spencer is one driver in a whole circuit(who isn't even that good) so I don't think you should judge all of NASCAR on his statements. Two, I think most NASCAR fans welcome Toyota with open arms. More competition just means better racing. But, third and sadly, Toyota has placed the worst lap times in all of the testing at Daytona so far so they have a long way to come in this series, but I wish them well, because I like I said earlier, any competition is good competition. GOOD LUCK TOYOTA!

Tigerfan -

Thanks for posting. I certainly am not saying that *all* Nascar fans/drivers etc. are like that asshole Spencer - that would make me just as bad as him.

certainly not all, but it most definitely helps to soldify the stereotype of the NASCAR driver/fan.

Lig, don't get worked up over it I've given up already If it's any consolation, Michael Schumacher once said that there's no skill in NASCAR, driving in circles big deal!

I really never cared for NASCAR before this little incident. Guys like Jimmy Spencer certainly aren't helping.

I don't see NASCAR disavowing his statements either. No contrition from Spencer - nothing from NASCAR...

Maybe they *are* mostly a bunch of redneck good 'ol boys at NASCAR...

"Awww shucks... that's just Jimmy being Jimmy... he don't mean no harm..."

Let me just say this - Jimmy - you can kiss my half - Japanese ass. Oh yes - I am "Made in America" too.

hehe... Wantone - I know what you mean... sometimes that kind of stuff really gets to me. Ironically - just the night before one of my other co-workers was getting pretty passionate about the race thing (I'm one out of three Asians who work for my employer)

There is a grand total of one black guy @ my job. There are ~ 190 employees in our division. Hmmm.... makes you wonder, doesn't it? Not exactly a cross section of America...

I'm past the outraged stage now - just a little bent out of shape now.

Maybe Jerkoff Spencer had his brain scrambled from driving in circles with all the other people on the track not smart enough to figure out how to turn the wheel the other way.

Yeah, michael shumacher said there's no skill in NASCAR...but didn't insult an entire race of people ignorantly and for transgressions of 60 years ago. I bet spencer would say some assclown remark on Germany if Schumacher were to want to race in an IROC race or something. I don't see the big 3 being able to hold off Toyota for long. They'll beat the american teams, just like they beat American automobile manufacturers.

^^ there are more reasons than just our foreign policy for why the rest of the world despises America.

There are so many racist people in the world.. There is nothing we can do about that but it pisses me off when these people are celebrities. That guy should be banned from Nascar. I hate Nascar but I don't think that someone should be a role model for certain children in this country and stand infront of the media and say $hit like that. That absolutely kills me. We should take all those ignorant people in this world and put them on a different planet so they can kill themselves with all their hate..

"Spencer has tentative plans to race in all three series this year, if he lands sponsorships."

^^HAHAHAHA

Looks like you shot yourself int he foot, jimmy boy.

"Jimmy's going to be Jimmy, and he's always going to be Jimmy. He's old-school."

Is that a viable defense for a cross-burner? or a KKK vigilante?

*disgusted*
