Speaking of technology... when's the last time

Nope not that young... That tape I was listening too was made from LP's. You can hear the cracks and pops in the recording. It is great. Takes me back to some real good times.

I used to listen to 8 tracks as well. I hated when a song spanned a program... it would fade out, change, then come back up to volume. And no dang rewind.

I think I had the 45 of Greg Kihn's (sp) "The Break Up Song" and several others. "They don't write'em like that anymore..."

I am in the process of recording all my favourite 8 tracks (yeah, 8 tracks) and my favourite cassette tapes (most of which were recorded from LP's (yeah, LP's) to CD. Once I'm finished, I guess these will be a thing of the past for me.
And what's wrong with being 50+ anyway? It's great. I'm comfortable with my lot in life. I don't feel like I have to compete with everybody that "might" have 2 hp more than my car just to prove something. It don't bother if some riced out something or other comes up beside me and revs on me 'cause I know if I really wanted to I could spend a sh$t load of money and hop up a Skoda enough to wup his a$$. AND I don't feel odd for owning 8 track and cassette tapes and LP's AND having the equipment to still play them all.
Oh yeah, I love gadgets because they're neat not 'cause I need to keep up with the times. (If only I could remember where I put glasses. Damn! They're on my head! )

Senior moments = brain farts.

I still have some old LP's but no longer have anything to play them with.
Soon they will be antiques. Wish I still had some of the old posters I hung in my room. Now they are worth something.

I last used a tape recorder last week when I decided to record a couple of mixes off of my phonographs....(my Technics 1200 record players). Next to my turntables, I still have a working 8 track player, with a collection of at least 35 8-tracks. Nevertheless, the last time the 8 tracks got any action was about 10 years ago....just to see if it still worked.

When I drive the Prelude, I use that cassette deck all the time. I have one of those car diskmans by Sony, so I can listen to CDs too.

Currently still using some cassettes which I recorded off LPs back in 1971. Hey, it doesn't seem that long ago. Played them in my Stook just the other week.
