Notfullflip, I appreciate the info. I do have a pretty good lawyer. Again, I don't drive like this at all. It was for less than 6 seconds. I really can't see how I got clocked because the officer wasn't even in view when I was going that fast. It was really weird. I was already down to 65 when I looked back and he was 250 yards off in the distance. I wasn't racing anyone which was a plus because that is easy to get into in Atlanta. Here is to driving slow!

Hell you can get to 120 in a Ford Tempo stationwagon.
No you can't trust me, I've tried. Hell getting that car to 55 was a chore and took 2 minutes.

Well, I got one at 109 in a 65, I could have gone to jail, but I was polite to the cops, and clearly wasnt trying to run, or doing anything really bad... so I got a speeding ticket at 105 in a 65. It cost me 257 bucks (if I recall) and defensive driving and after 180 days with no tickets its now off my record. Yay! I did get lucky though, cuold have been a lot worse.

I STILL think going 109 or even 119 is safer than 80 or 85 in an Explorer or something, yet no one ever freaks out when some dude in a Suburban gets busted doing 85....

What does the ticket say he used to gauge your speed? My guess is that he was using laser/radar while moving. If it had been a Roswell cop you might be able to wiggle out of it because of GA law's restrictions on how municipalities use laser/radar, but State Patrol has a lot of lattitude. Some counties will let you plead no contest and not put the points on your record if it's your first offence in 5 years. The kick in the pants from the insurance would more than pay for a lawyer.

I got 99 in a 65, Reckless Driving, Improper Lane Change and No Insurance on one incident in Atlanta about a year ago. Of course, the No Ins claim was bogus- he just did it so he could impound my car. I had to walk home from 75/85 at 17th that night. Since then, I have invested in a RMRC450 and have had no troubles since.
