Default speeding ticket

I was in a hurry to get lunch because at our school we only get 35min for lunch. I was driving through a residential area going pretty fast, but there were no cars around. I see a cop writing a ticket for someone and as i start to brake he steps into the street and motions me to pull over. I'm positive he couldn't have seen my car coming since he was writing a ticket, so how could he have judged my speed? On the ticket he put 40+ in a 25. This is my 2nd ticket and therefore can't do traffic school. Any advice? thanks

Someone mentioned taking the 12 hour traffic school. You have to request it from the judge. If they let you take it, it should keep your record clean.

How would I go about requesting the 12 hour traffic school? Someone in my traffic school asked about the seconday traffic school and the instructor said in some cases by taking the 2nd traffic school, your first offense is re-opened and the insurance can see it. My main concern is the change in insurance, if I can't get out of those how much of an increase am I looking at?

I would fight the ticket. Then again I fight all my tickets as a matter of course. I've either beaten or gotten out of my last 3 tickets. Knock on wood.

I would have pretended he was waving, smile and wave back, and keep driving
