Default Spider Suggestions?! HELP!

Hey gang...... I got a bad one for ya today.

Recently needed to take care of the parents house for a night. I sometimes leave the car with the top down in my garage, and at my parents house just because I dont want to have to keep moving the soft top up and down. I already have 2 tears. ANNYYWAYYYY...

Woke up this morning to leave the parents house, and boom... 100s of baby spiders and spider webs on the outside of my car, with a few (like... 10 - 15) crawling around inside.

After absolutely FREAKING out (Because I'm a manbaby...) I washed the car, and sprayed water in all the body gaps. Havent seen a baby spider anywhere on the inside or outside since...

My question is, what can I do to prevent insects from invading the car like this again? Anyone else have anything like this happen? Is there anything you can do or was it just bad luck? How can I make sure they are ALL GONE!?

Imma have nightmares. I put the car back in my garage just now, with the top up, and windows up. I just hope I dont pick up more overnight, but I dont know where they came from!

HELP PLEASE!

In addition to putting the top and windows up, I also (because I also hate spiders) put the vent on recirculate before I turn off the car.

Do what you do in the PI to keep bugs from you when you sleep: tie a gecko to your bed stand. In this case just throw it in the car.

Leave it outside with top down in the sun. Depending on where you live that may be enough. I had a Coke spill on the rubber floor mat and subsequent ant infestation once in a different car and this helped.

Get box of moth balls. Open box in car. Put top up (tears and all). Roll up windows. Get car cover.

Be prepared to air out car for a day or two, before use.

Good luck!

Spiders aren't really a big deal to me. If there was a wasp nest in my car, though, I'd probably just drop everything, move to a different country, and get a new identity.

Probably move to Sweden and call myself Hugh Jorgens.
