Worse?
Yes in could be worse.

There is this little parasite thingy that lives in some South American river. It is attracted by urine. It enters a male human through any small body opening that is underwater. The Barbs on the critter keep it from being pulled out.

Eeeeeooowwwwwwwchhhh!
Just shoot me.

As I recall from my childhood, "they eat your eyes, they eat your nose, they eat the jelly between your toes", etc.

Actually, I was bitten by a brown recluse, right here in NC, 2 years ago.
Did not know it until I developed a silver dollar sized, dark purple
spot on the top of my foot. It was feverish and itched so hobbled up to my local doc in a box who proclaimed," gollly, what the hell is thaaat"?, as they scratched their heads.
I then went to see a friend who is an ID doc. and he diagnosed correctly.
Fortunately, did not lose any substantial tissue, i.e., foot parts.
Moral is, those little brown bastards can do some damage and you may not even feel their bite! (we should all have such power!!....well, maybe not all of us.)

all these shots of bugs are making me paranoid...i was driving my s2k about a month ago with my female friend when a bug of some sort landed in my car....right on my lap....oh man i flipped out screaming like a little girl smacking my leg like i was trying to put out a fire...i almost crashed twice and then pulled into a lot in which i smacked the bug off and proceeded to inspect the interior of the car to make sure nothing was left behind....i take off only to find another bug in the car and i go ape shit again....i hate bugs
