spotted a focking mouse in the garage!
I let them live in the garage for the winter. There's no way to keep them out.
The one mouse that made it inside the house last year became a cat toy.
It was funny, actually. My mother-in-law couldn't sleep, so she went downstairs to watch TV. Next morning, she was telling us how the cat wouldn't leave her alone, and kept dropping her toy mouse in her lap. She kept throwing it, and the cat kept bringing it back.
We said, hmm, the cat doesn't *have* a toy mouse - she plays with string and plastic rings from milk containers...
So I go downstairs, and the cat is lying in the sun poking at a dead mouse...

Mice make good pets actually. They can be tamed if you have very fast reflexes. It takes them a while to chill out.
