One comment, not mentioned here. He sang off key at least the first two songs (then I stopped listening). Like his moves or not, he did not sing well at all.

 

The best halftime show in the last 10 years was Prince in 2007, followed very closely by U2 in 2002.

 

The dude jammed his dick in the camera......

 

No flames here. First thing I said when I saw he was performing is "WTF?!" "Who gives a $hit about the Boss?"

Don't tell me the economy has affected the NFL's budget also and that they can't afford more current forms of entertainment.

Ya U2 ain't any better than Bruce. They've had a few catchy ones since they were relevant (i.e. pre-90s), but songs like Walk On are just plain bad. I dare say Walk On is the most annoying U2 song yet recorded. Like Bruce, I appreciate Bono's activism, but he does that much better than music at this point.

Springsteen crosses several generations, which is just what the NFL wants. They have tried to get him to perform for years - I'm sure the timing with his new album had at least something to do with it.

I say next year, bring on Angus, Malcolm and the boys.
