Please explain
The original quote comes from a poem by Thomas Gray: Ode on a Distant Prospect of Eton College. The poem ends:

. . . where ignorance is bliss,
'Tis folly to be wise.

Gray is not saying that ignorance is bliss. What he's saying is that if you're happy being ignorant, then it's stupid for you to try to learn (thereby risking being unhappy when you're wise).

See there: you were happy not knowing that "ignorance is bliss" is a misquote, but you risked that happiness to learn the correct quote.

I hope you're happy.

Oh, I wasn't quoting Thomas Gray then. I was quoting all the misquotes of Thomas Gray.

Damn, this vid is rough. Not sure what is going through their heads when they're doing this. Even if they truly believe that keeping them alive helps with skinning, then why don't they at least finish the animal off afterwards instead of letting it linger.

Holy Crap , the skinned alived part is pretty hardcore stuff. Never would I thought I'd see a animal skinned and still be alive after. Looked like something from a horror movie.

Well, this is obviously been going on for a long time in China, they don't share the same views as we or most countries do about our furry friends.

They eat anything, baby fetus soup......we can do away with the chi-kon psychos.

Just watched a documentary I found while browsing the web, mainly because I was about to go to sleep but the image of the skinned dog kept me awake for a bit. So, got online to read more about china, their fur trade & it's government. Glad I did because I found a documentary "The Tank Man"

YouTube: the tank man. It's a documentary that is cut into 8 episodes. Basically, shows china corruption from the tiananmen square massacre until somewhat present maybe (2007)? Really interesting video and it's sad what's going on there, On both the poor and middle/wealthy class.
