Default Star Wars Trilogy on DVD

Tuesday Star wars finally comes out on DVD. they say that this is perhaps the last film that hasn't been mastered on to DVD format yet.

Ill be their tuesday buying it, maybe Monday if bestbuy is open late like their supposed too. Im big fan of star wars, not a super fan like some weirdos. I don;t go to the movies with costumes and light sabers. I respect the movie for what it is and the inspiration that it gave me as a child to wan't to make movies for a future career.

So who else is waiting for this release?

I hate video cassettes, so I've been waiting for the DVD version for some time.

I'll be at Best Buy at midnight to pick it up.

I'm probably going to pick this up.....I just hope Lucas doesn't release yet another "remastered, re-edited, and spruced-up" version of these later down the line.....

I was so excited until I heard that they were putting that loser Hayden Christensen in the final celebration scene in ROTJ. I think that they should've left Sebastian Shaw as the original Anakin, but oh well... looking to find pirated LD to DVD copies on the Internet I guess...

Other changes include some laser scenes that they cut amongst others. I'll be waiting to hear a full report from others that purchase the set on Tues.

I hear Lucas decided to release them now and not wait till Episode 3 was done. He realized that DVD piracy has gone widespread and he had to release them soon or he wouldnt make as much profit.

i guess "the star wars trilogy definitive collection" i bought on laser disc almost 15 years ago wasn't the real definitive version.

...can't wait either

Lucas is making litle profit. BestBuy is selling it for 51$. you could easily get 100$ for it. most fans would pay.

$51? Are you sure. I've seen it advertised for $40.

I'm pretty sure Lucas gets money everytime something "Star Wars" sells. He's probably doing pretty wel in royalties alone.
