State Farm's compilation of 2001's Most Dangerous Intersections
I actually saw this last nite. I think it was on Dateline NBC or some other news show like that. They showed some of the intersections and they were pretty bad. There was one, I think it was the one in Philadelphia (Red Lion and Roosevelt), that was really bad. That intersection is confusing as hell, and to top it off, because of the way the intersection is, the left turns were dangerous as hell.
There are none listed for some states because they go by a score, derived from how many claims and severity of the accident. Feel lucky if your state has none!
I just moved from Tampa Bay, and that area alone has 4 locations listed, one about 1 1/2 miles from my old house. I thank my lucky stars that I got out of there when I did!

Wow, Tulsa has two in the top 10. I drove through those intersections all the time when I was growing up in Tulsa. Those intersections were usually pretty busy, but I wouldn't think of them being particularly dangerous. They definitely weren't confusing. But who am I to argue with an insurance companies numbers?

I drive through the 121 & Preston in Frisco, TX twice a day. If the lights are timed correctly, it's not that bad - as long as you don't go immediately when your light turns green. Wait for the multitudes of people to run their red light first before proceeding....
That listing of intersections is complete and total B*ll Sh*t. As a resident of NJ, I know that list is wrong if they don't mention any intersections here... Why else would have State Farm announced that they're stopping all automobile coverage here? They're actually one of three major insurers who have announced plans recently to get out of NJ, citing exhorbitant costs as their main reason. More likely they're just not making the usual 200% profit on their policies here.
We pay the highest insurance rates in the nation, any insurer who decides it's not profitable to operate here just doesn't want to bother.
