I suggest you be a "perfect gentleman" and put your car in a tent, an UGLY tent, right in the front yard. DON'T ask your wife for permission, just DO IT. Conspire with the neighbors to have them call your wife and complain. When she confronts you with it, act pittiful and assure her you were only thinking of her when you did that. A little lower lip quiver and you'll be back in the garage!!

It could be tricky, and if she doesn't feel sorry enough for you to let you in the garage, at least you've scored some Brownie points!
