I believe this story was on Oprah, if I remember right. It truley is a great story.

 

this is the 2nd time i've seen this... <3 my parents even though i was raised wrong; it was the only way they knew how...

For you non-sports people, still check out SI occaisionally if nothing else for the last page. There's a reason Rick Reilly's mantle is full of sportswriter of the year awards, the guy's the best, he's constantly writing about stuff like this. Do a google on his column "Was the fight before Christmas" about a boxer named Billy Miske. If this brought tears to your eyes, Miske's story will make you sob.
