my advice to you would be to watch out for pick pockets, dont carry too much cash and a flashy wallet, and be descrete when purchasing as to not show how much money you are carrying...

carry your hand bag diagonally across your shoulder and hang in in front of you, around your stomach area, not behind or at the side... but preferrably just carry a small wallet with a few important items, the rest leave it in a safety box etc...

try to remove and not wear too much jewelry, expensive watches etc...

and watch what you drink, and keep an eye on it all the time especially in a night club etc...

 

Thanks for the advice! But I can't help but notice it sounds like you're talking about hell. I've been to Asia before, some rich, some poor areas, and it was very fun and safe. Only this time, I'd carry a stun gun and mace, cuz who knows...

I don't know where I'd get a safe-box to keep money in, but I usually withdraw cash from ATM's while in Asia. Sometimes I'd even use credit cards.

Wow! Only a few more days and I'm off to sunny, warm, tropical places! No more rain for 23 consecutive days (here)! "Rain, rain, everyday the rain...breaking my mind...lalala..."

 

maybe it's cause i'm an asian, and grew up there, so i get to see the other side of things that tourists dont usually see.... but yes... it's still better than the non stop rain and the cold weather
