stupid question?
No.
Homes are generally heated with natural gas (methane), propane, or heating oil. Most commercial methane comes from natural gas fields, propane is produced from both natural gas and petroleum, and heating oil is produced from petroleum.
So, even though you don't heat your home with gasoline, the increases in crude oil prices and natural gas prices will likely result in a higher heating bill next winter.

Just burn some logs.
Just run around in circles to keep warm. YOu'll also get exercise and lose weight and feel healthier.
Magician nailed it. All of the futures for the most common heating fuels (propane, fuel oil and natural gas) are all up at least 30%. Which means that you will most certainly be paying more this coming winter as compared to last winter. Maybe a lot more.
