What really amazes me is that these moves were really caligraphed like those in Chinese action movies from the late eighties and early nineties(Jacky Chan and Jet Li genre). In fact, some moves were a direct duplicate.

Sadly the movies nowadays don't have these awesome moves anymore. Most of the actors and actresses are too stiff. For example in the Matrix, when you see Keeanu or the Trininty do flips, their body is vertically erected. For those who has seen lots of action movies, street performers or practiced some form of martial arts, you know that it isn't how it happens when performed right without special effects. Sigh, what I would give to see such shows again. I don't need any famous actors, just good performers.

On the bright side, Hidden Dragon, Crouching Tiger is a pretty good example of how Kungfu was depicted in the earlier Chinese movies though I must admit that the ones in this movie is over exagerated.

Don't hack the Matrix, it's the best movie of all time
The Flash was great!, but I sorta have to agree, the old time stuff was incredible. Even look at something like Rapid Fire with Branden Lee, the moves were amazing!

That was a tight ass Flash... made me want to watch the Jet Li collection again... and those are the best movies... I love Fist of Legend, The Legend, and Once Upon a Time in China... those are some good, cheezy movies
