I'm not at all trying to justify anyone's actions, but in situations where so many people are around (i.e. busy street), a person is less likely to get help.

We all assume that someone else will lend a hand and that it's not our problem.

Well I really hate that this happened BUT the man was jay walking like so many people these days do and act like cars won't hit them. Guess he proved that theory wrong.

And after watching the video like 20 times the cars that hit him were chasing each other so there is something else going on here besides just a hit and run!

Reminds me of that person that died in NYC in the seventies - cried for help for hours and like 30 people heard it, but no one called the cops.

what does the fact of him j walking have to do with him getting hit? There were no cars coming from behind him and the car that actually hit him crossed over the double yellow lines like he intended to him him. if those cars wouldn't have crossed the center line, he wouldn't have been hit.

It's more disgusting that everyone stood around and treated this guy like a piece of roadkill. I'm surprised one of them didn't poke him with a stick...

If you watch the video closer and/or know how people drive on the east coast you would know this.

The road had one lane going each direction, when the first car was slowing down, the two cars behind zipped to the other lane to get around the car (they were not chasing eachother). People in downtown areas do this all the time (especially on the east coast because people have no patience at all)

Its way sad that nobody stopped to help
