I think it has a lot to do with the fact that this is the only way that anything actually happens with regard to illegal immigration. If nobody would've died, there'd be at least 27 more people illegally living here, and the only way they'd be "punished" is by not having to pay taxes, being able to vote, then eventually being granted amnesty and full citizenship by our government.

It sucks that people died just trying to make a better life for themselves, but it's hard to feel sorry for them based on the fact that A) what they were doing is 100% illegal, and B) what they were doing also made them easy candidates for the Darwin Awards.

 

IF the government enforced the law, there wouldn't be an immigration problem. Always look at root causes.

Death is not funny....period. IF these were a bunch of child molestors or MS-13 that would be one thing, but they weren't. I might be opinionated on a lot of things, but there is not one single thing funny about what happened there. It's a sad situation, and it is indeed a sad plight for many immigrants that get trafficked across the border....a lot of them, particulary women are then forced into prostitution to pay off the coyotes. Do you people not know these circumstances, or are you all that sheepified?

And I am actually quite shocked bean, that you think this is funny considering you lost a loved one in a traffic accident. I am quite shocked.

Reading a lot of the replies here, have we sunk so low as a society where something tragic like this accident is now a punchline? Would this be funny to you if it were a busload of children going to school? Unbelievable man.

 

It's different when they come here illegally and rape our heath care system, abuse our tax laws, and induce a higher rate of crime.

YES, blame our ****in goverment for the way things have turned out but, it's the bunch of liberal sissies like yourselfs that have caused this.

I'll go and be the first to step up and say ****, i wish this happened more.
Take the damn legal routes and become citizens and there's no problem.
I may feel some empathy for coutrymen then..

 

And that's another thing that compounds the issue of illegal immigration. There are a lot of people who have gone through the process legally and have become actual citizens of the United States. I can respect that, and I have no problem with those people. That said, where's the incentive for everybody else who wants to come here from south of the border to do that when they can take the chance of sneaking in illegally and, if it all goes well, get the same rights as everyone else without having to earn them?

How do you suppose legal immigrants feel when they see all these illegal immigrants being treated like they were practically born and raised here, and they didn't have to do a damn thing to earn it? I would bet my ass that it makes their blood boil.

mike, i didn't say i think it's funny, i said i see the humor in this(the darwin award), but you are right it is the government that is to blame, if customs/border patrol would have done their job this probably wouldn't have happened, the truck would have been stopped and the illegals SHOULD have been deported back to mexico, but no it didn't happen like that, and thats why shit like this happens, but anyway they shouldn't have been in arizona to begin with
