For those of you that don't live in the southwest of the USA, where this is an actual problem, let me share an unbiased opinion. I grew on Long Island, moved to AZ 5 years ago.
1. Tucson is about 50 miles from Mexico. I see cars with Mexican license plates dozens of times a day when I head to central Tucson.
2. The NW side of Tucson where I live is 90% white and free of any serious crime. The only deaths you ever hear about are from car accidents.
3. The south side of Tucson is quite ghetto and you would not want to walk thru there at night. There are frequent drug related deaths as well as home invasions.
4. Illegal immigrants have no health insurance and flood the hospitals with minor health concerns and lay the bill upon the citizens of AZ.
How would you feel if your family member needed desperate health care and showed up to the hospital only to wait for hours while illegal immigrants filled up the ER and don't even pay to be there?

Death is not funny....period. IF these were a bunch of child molestors or MS-13 that would be one thing, but they weren't. this thread sure exploded. i was laughing at saki's joke. it's dark humor, but it was funny. i'm the kind of person who will laugh at anything. i don't think that's a bad thing, and i don't think you can ever say 'xyz just isn't funny! you can't laugh about that!'
i feel sorry for the people who died, i understand they were just trying to find work, and i understand that the root cause of this is lack of border enforcement. i certainly don't wish harm to anyone trying to live their lives w/o hurting anyone else. but i know, let's all jump on the finger wagging... call me a sociopath... riiiiight. holier than thou
