SwirlyMMS on Iphone 3G
I'll get an iPhone as soon as they allow tethering. That's something I've used plenty with my last three phones.
Hurricane Gustave: No cable/internet for a week
Vacation in Miami: Not paying the $17/day for internet
Home: Cable goes out
Road trip: Internet in the car
MMS I could give a crap about.

I had the Original, 3G, and now have the 3GS with AT&T. I had MMS working on all 3 phones. But with the 3GS when I make it work a couple of hours later it will stop working. Kind of a PITA.
To get MMS working on 3.0 software, you do not need SwirlyMMS. Just look for a carrier file and upload it to the iphone to enable the functionality. But it will not work if you have an "iphone text plan". Google will help you here.
I also have tethering working on my 3GS.

the jailbreaking doesnt require your phone to be jailbroken and yes I am on AT&T.
Is ATT on to you?
Oops I meAnt the tethering doesn't require jailbreaking the phone.
AT&T doesnt know. People been tethering with non-tethering plans for awhile now. Just don't abuse it and it won't be a problem.

I have tethering as well on my iphone. It's jailbroken, but I don't believe it's required now to have tethering. It's now integrated into the OS, but it's inactivated by default. I just downloaded a new profile that enabled it.

My Tilt was just like that. It was available, just hidden in a the OS.

Any idea how to go about this? I'm googled out. Maybe I'm not googling the right words.
