Talked to a Cop
cops are just doing their jobs by enforcing the law. What needs to change is the law, not the cops. Except for about 50% of the cops who are dicks even if you do nothing wrong. I've had experience with bad and good ones. Ones that write me speeding tickets, but are friendly about it. They know I'm in control of my car, etc., but that I broke the law and they caught me doing it. We can both agree on that point and I realize that my fight is in court, not on the street with the cop.
Best advice: AVOID THE NOID!!!!

Nothing we do or say will change this type of attitude. There is a simple reason why. Cops are human, but they deal with the scum of the earth more than other humans, and they have power other humans do not have. Look at this as if it were physics and not humanity. How would YOU react if you had to deal with what they deal with for a living? Your attitude would probably change, would it not? Now ask yourself if you could keep from being corrupted with an excess of power? Put these 2 things together, and you have a recipe for a "chip".
Simple.
Avoid them.

I just want to say that I had more good experances with cops than bad. Just a couple of days ago I had a cop come to my house because my house alarm was set off ( by me opps
) He came very promt saw there was nothing going on, but what he did see was our three cars, with a big smile on his face he said now I know where to go if I feel like writing speeding tickets
he was just kidding but he loved all our cars, asked if he can hear the engines, looked them all over. He had his dog with him and he asked he get out of the car. Really cool dog, really nice cop! He must of kicked back with us for about 20 min. My point is any cop that likes my cars are allright with me

Let me start by saying I have plenty of law enforcement associates and I don't think of them as "bad people" as a group. That said, whoever said cops are a cross-section of a community hasn't thought that one through. People become cops voluntarily. The "type" of person who becomes a cop is NOT a cross-section of society. You don't think cops are can be grouped as a type? Guess you haven't hung out with too many large groups of 'em.
They have many motivations not shared by most of us. The good ones want to protect the community, uphold laws, protect the weak. The bad ones are a video-taped-beating away from being gang members. Cops are the largest gang in the world. They're all armed and they take it personally if you hurt one of them.
Too many cops (for my taste) were bad kids who never got caught doing really bad stuff before they wised up. These particular guys were just smart enough to figure out which side of the law had the best survivability, along with the ability to exercise authority indiscriminately (or to discriminate) and not be thrown in jial for it.
They have a higher standard to be held to. You can't just say they're "just human." We give them guns, along with the power to arrest. They must have higher standards for behavior than you or I. A cop who's so jumpy they shoot someone in the back or in any other non-life-threatening situation was either poorly trained or never should have become a cop.
My opinion, the police force is a necessary evil. I don't want to disband or restrict them but again I say, they must adhere to higher standards of behavior than joe blow.
