tattoo not quite right
I'm a studio art major (I'm not trying to brag - trust me on that one
) but I think I can shed some light as to why it looks like shit aside from the random "she looks deformed" comments.
I know it's obvious that the tattoo sucks, but here's why. The "artist" is absolutely HORRIBLE at drawing PERIOD. When replicating something, it's important to look at proportion and the angles at which things turn. Check out her left eye brow - the photo makes it go almost straight down, whereas the tattoo has it pointing the the right - WTF! Any artist should learn about drawing what you see is there and not what you think it should look like in High School Drawing I. This is why the "average" person isn't very good at drawing. They see a pair of lips and try and draw what they think they look like. You have to objectify something and draw what is there. Forget that it's a head, or eyes - draw the angles at which things change direction.
Look how off everything is:

Look at the angles of the lines in the photo and the tattoo. Completely off. The artist is a poor drawer - an important skill when tattooing or doing any type of replication.
Ridiculous - I would not pay for it and ask if they'd help with the removal costs. Such a pretty girl too - I can't imagine how upset the guy must be.
