If a kid ran into my s2k.....I would be extremely pissed. BUT....one day, I will have kids myself. Kids do crazy things, that are ALL accidents. Sometimes in life, you have to be a human being. If a 10 year old fell off his brand new rollerblades and onto my hood, thats life. Tell the parents....if they are normal, theyll pay for it. Help improve society. This kind of sh!t is what is killing it. Also, I am no racist by any means, but, what race is the teacher?

To paraphrase what I read on another website, that's why we have a word called accidents.

Would I go after the parents of a kid that dented my S? If it was between a school bus and a running child at the end of the school day, or in the middle of an amusement park, or near a playground, or anyplace else where my untrained eyes would suspect running kids....I'm not sure I would.

Does she deserve to be fixed, yes. The district should have the appropriate insurance available to her. If the insurance was denied, then she should be suing the insurance company or the school district.

I saw this story on another site that questioned whether this was going to open up the floodgates. Perhaps more students will be named in lawsuits if a teacher has a tough homeroom. Or if their toes get stepped on in the hallway. Or if they have to suffer through a verbal tirade that just wouldn't be allowed in the corporate world. Or if they got hit with a wayward basketball during gym class.

Where does it stop?

wait wait wait.... this kid was 90lbs... how is it that she suffered mulitple injuries and some that are permanent? did she fall down a flight of steps because of the kid running into her or something? i think she is just trying to find anything and everything to make a buck.

The lady is a fricken grown up so act like it! Working in an elementary school, she should expect these things. Sounds like shes trying to make a quick buck. Guys, wounds heal themselves, bumpers dont.

Obviously kids should now have to wear fat suits to school. This would solve the problem instantly, as the fat padded kids would no longer move fast, and even if they hit someone, they'd bounce off.
Also, it would prepare them for life as obese adults, which is where a large percentage of them are heading anyway.
