Off-topic Talk Where overpaid, underworked S2000 owners waste the worst part of their days before the drive home. This forum is for general chit chat and discussions not covered by the other off-topic forums.

Are there any golfers up in here?

My coworkers play. I can't find an interest.

Started playing golf when I was 7 years old. Played for the last 21 years. It's a big part of the reason I became a salesman

I'm keen!!
I used to be pretty good but work commitments are unhelpful in playing to a decent standard these days. I still play once a week though.

What kind of golf bags do people use (and fit in the Stook)?

Bernie,

I have a Titleist dual strap bag that's extremely light. For me it's not the size of the bag that would prevent me from putting it in my trunk, it's the length of the club. Mine just barely fits. I've also put it in the passenger seat before.

Btw, does anybody know anything about refurbished balls? I usually buy balls that costs between $30 to $40 a box, but I saw some Titleists that were $10 for 15 balls and bought them to try them out. They hit pretty long, but they don't stick the greens at all.

Hee Hee!! I did the very same thing!

I walked into the dealership and was about to take the test drive, they went to go get the keys of the car, and I went to my SUV to grab my Greatest Big Bertha. They looked at me like "What the hell are you doing?"

I told them, "If this club does not fit in the trunk, there is no need to even test drive the car." Thank You God for letting that club fit in!!! I just love my car!

Real grass will really mess up your game, but you'll be O.K. if you just don't inhale.

OK, I golf, but I have opinions about golf equipment which parallel, no, which are far more extreme than Bieg's about the S2000. I think all metal woods should be outlawed. I play Powerbilt Persimmons 1,3,5 woods. I think all cavity back cast clubs should be outlawed. I like the Titleist tour blades, and am thinking of giving the Mizunos a try. As to putters, I'm for whatever gets you there. Too much work, not enough golf.

2x6 I understand your delight in your persimmons, I have a Great Big Bertha but it stays in the boot. I use my Ping wood driver all the time, I just can't keep the GBB in the fairway, it must have too much Horsepower, then again I might be over-reving.
