Generally only a reform rabbi will convert you. Traditionally the religion is passed from the mother. So if you have a Jewish dad but a gentile mom then you're a gentile, by tradition. If your dad's a gentile and your mom's a Jew you're a Jew. Jews have spread wide and far after 5000 years of being kicked out of countries and attempts to destroy them all, don't be suprised where you find them!!!

The asian thing I never thought of...but how about this: anyone ever met a white trash Jew? Like a West Virginian hick or something like that?

I'm not so sure it's quite that simple. It's not like Christian missionaries who try to convert "heathans". They'll take anybody.
Remember Sammy Davis Jr.? I recall he was Jewish. So, in a sense, if he can do it, I suppose anybody can. Geez, Richard, you really wanna get circumcised?

I dated a Korean girl who was adopted by a Jewish family, thus making her Jewish. Mmmmm, she was hot too.

I used to eat at a restaurant in the Cherry Hill, NJ Hyatt Regency called "Ginsberg & Wong's." A chinese delicatessen. There's one in Philly and also one in Toronto.

That proves it.

BTW--my last name is Ginsberg.
