Most of the time animals at the zoos had special circumstances to as why they are there. They don't randomly pull wild animals from their habitat for our "amusement". Ever heard of animals on the brink of extinct? Or injured/abandoned animals?

Second, its also for research, ie. how to improve conditions for animals due to changing environments (you should really be blaming the human population for destroying animal habitats if you're going to flame zoos.) And for ENDANGERED animals, they are also there to help preserve the numbers and find better ways to increase population.

Third, just because the animals are not in their "natural" environment, does this mean they are unhappy or miserable? No! And neither am I implying that they are happy. But for some animals born and raised at the zoo, how would they have the capacity to feel miserable at a zoo if they were never exposed to their natural environment? They would have nothing to compare it to.

Fourth, don't generalize the tiny blurb at each animal exhibit as the "educational purpose" for housing an animal, way more stuff is learned about them then you can imagine. Ever been to a real research institute or a library?

Fifth, if you're going to flame zoos, you should really direct it to circuses, because their purpose is NOT for human amusement and profit

HAHAHAHA Love it! Reminds me of what i do to my dog every night..... I get on the other side of the sliding glass door and since i am in the kitchen he can see me cutting food or what not... so pretend i am going to give him food... then he whacks in to the sliding glass door with his nose.. I am evil. :LOL I swear he's gonna bite me in the ass one of these days......
