Default Thinking of going to the US / Canada

ok guys I'm looking for opinions n what not.

I'm tired of everything here, recent events going on in my life, and I just want to up and get away. Decided I may as well make it 6 months, with the intention of staying FT if I like it there, where ever there may be.

So I'm 25, bored with life (have been for years), can't really go anywhere, can't really do much of anything, and just want to escape the lousy memories this country brings. The only reason I'm STILL here is because of my mother and father, no one else.

I've been thinking about this for the past 6-8wks now, and it seems like it makes sense. Its an option on the table and I'm heavily considering it.

I've lost my car license for 6 months for speeding through a mountain run.
I've lost my baby girl.....
Literally the only 2 things in my life I actually enjoy, are no more. She wants me as her BFF (best friend forever I think is the meaning? Again I'm 25, and not up on all the lingo) but I'm a lil uneasy with that, and my car sits in the garage for the next 6 months until I can legally drive it again. I'm open to the idea of selling it later on if I decide I want to stay in said country permanently.

I want to do my own research, so can someone link me to a major US / Canadian house rental website?

Whats my eligibility for work in these 2 countries? Must I be a US citizen or can I have a working Visa? If you don't know you can you link me to the government website detailing this?

If I am eligible for work my line of work is Retail Management / visual merchandising / Human Resources / Project Managing etc.
Do you think I could earn over $1200/wk?
Are these types of employment easy to come by?
Whats a good employment website?

I have other questions, but I'll leave them for now until I can sift through them and ask them in an easy to understand format

This is gonna be tough. I don't even know where to start. Finding jobs will not be easy as the job market is still in recovery process, and especially if you are from another country, you better have many years of experiences with you.

I'll trade places w/ you. I wouldn't mind moving overseas. You could come here. I even know an Aussie, from Melbourne who lives about 40min from me. I'm sure you'd get along great. Now if I can get a work visa...

America has to be one the easiest countries to get a work visa, but the job market here is not so great and won't be for years to come.

This site should answer you questions

The US economy is on life support with the plug ready to be pulled. Go to Canada if you're set on NA.

Aren't you that guy who posted pics of himself working on the car under a tree barefoot? If so, western Canada would be a good fit, as would Tennessee, Mississippi, northern Louisiana and much the woods of Virginia. Just kidding. Seriously, why change location? Anywhere you go, there you are.

Thats the kind of stuff I was after, links and stuff to do my own research and what not.

Over here we have domain.com.au and realestate.com.au as the pirmary housing websites for all of Australia.

Is there a US equivalent?
