200 years ago scientists did NOT think flight was impossible. anyone can look at a bird and see that flight was possible. plus they had kites and little glider toys back then

500 years ago not EVERYONE thought the world was flat. maybe just those in the "western" world

time travel is a different thing i think. we are still trying to figure out what time is exactly.

If I had a secret time machine and wanted to prove it, I would travel back a few days and show up at work with myself. This would prove I traveled back in time because their would be two me's and it would scare the crap out of my coworkers, which would also be a hoot. I would also bring Saturday's powerball numbers back with me, win $103 million and retire to my own private island. But would I have to share the money with the other me and at what point would he go away. And would it be illegal if I killed the other me? Would I be gay if I had sex with the other me or would it be just playing with myself? Sorry I digress........

No wait...scratch that.....I would hang out on the internet making predictions.

I like to read clever stories. They are interesting. I just don't believe most of what I read on the internet because it is

From what i understand time travel is possible, however from what we know today you can not go infinitly back in time as people assume you can. Time travel can only be used from the time it is actually invented (ie when we discover how to create wormholes and then using the laws of relativity move one end of the wormhole a suffiecient distance at a near speed of light velocity and then return it to earth and put it next to the original one or whereever we want. Since time would slow down for the wormhole traveling at the relatavistic speeds this would in sense create a time warp.) When the wormhole is invented we will be able to step back in forth between the ends of the wormhole. I hope that somehow makes sense. The main point that i'm trying to get across is that until we invent a wormhole, which to my knowledge has not been down, we can only travel between that time and the future.

Half worm, or whole?

A squirrel lives in a hollow tree with a hole at the top, and a hole at the bottom. He discovers that if he sticks his head out of the hole at the top, and then runs to the bottom and sticks his head out that hole, it takes him exactly sixty seconds. After practicing for a day, he improves his speed, and cuts the time in half, taking only 30 seconds. After another day of practice, he cuts his time in half again, taking only 15 seconds. Every day, he practices until he cuts his time in half. How long will it be before the squirrel can stick his head out of both holes at the same time?
