I m wondering how many UASD member firms are out there. i ve searched for hrs but couldnt find any of them.

BTW, Im a 3rd yr @ UCSD majoring in Economics. so i ll be a senior from fall and now am very nervous about what i would be like after grad.

as a current college student, im also wondering if there is any way that i can receive sponsorship from a member firm in order to write a Series 7 exam? cuz i know, in most cases, i obtain sponsorship thru employment @ a NASD memebr firm. any chance for a college student?

my goal is passing that exam by december 2004(based on the premise that i get a sponsorship), going through required traninings and passing further exams like series 63, 67 etc so that i could be fully licensed by the time i grad. i think this might sound impossible but juss wanna give it a try to see if i could make it.

so is anyone here familiar with this matter?
any infos and advices are appreciated.

Sometimes firms will sponsor your license exam preparations, especially stock broker firms.

My employer helped me obtain a Series 6 and 63 by paying for a class, book materials, and exam fees.

Most likely you will have to find an entry level job first if you want to have an employer pay for your exam. Otherwise you are on your own to get it. It's not too bad cost-wise... your local library will probably have current study materials. It's just the big exam fees.

And a class will definitely help.
