Wouldn't that be sweet.... A Huge 8 lane run through the country... Make it like a tic-tac-toe board so you can zip through the states quickly at the interchanges... Also make it a federal roadway so the state police can't pull their usual revenue generation on it...

I'm talking about having a speed limitless thoroughfare in which automobile travel throughout the country could be expedited.
Something like the Autobahn in Germany would be nice here, considering our country is probrably the size of all of western europe.
In making it a federal system, State police forces can not crack down hard core like in Jersey where they limit your speed to 65 mph and say" for us gracing you in going 65, if you break 65, we're doubling the fines. Shit, that's like putting a tax on my driving privelage.
I'm just used to driving in Europe I guess. If your doing 95 on the highway, a cop will fly past and laugh at your slow ass.
