Thought this was interesting..
Sadly enough, Alaska is the same way. I used to live up there and bought two assault rifles.
Its not just one state you can buy these guns in. Montana, Alaska, Idaho, etc.
Downtown Anchorage had some crazy weapons.
The Barrett 50 cal weapon your looking at is $7500. Thats a cheap one.
The rifle below is $3200 with all the accessories you see there. So as much as a Mugen CF hood.
The bottom one is $1499. Not too bad.
Your right people kill people.
To bad the Federal ban on certain assault rifles was lifted after its 10 year stint.
With all of these guns you will have to shoot them at outdoor ranges. You think? They are outdoor guns only, well if you lived in Alaska you can shoot in the woods. I put this tank killer gun here just to show people that you can walk in and buy it the same day. Most of the time its for law enforcement and military but there are a few states that allow private sales of these types of weapons.

when was the last time you heard of someone committing a crime with a Barret 50BMG? doesn't happen sorry to say.
and there are indoor ranges that will support all weapons pictured with the exception of the BMG.

guns have always been avaliable here in n america. interesting to see some members from the UK or Europe someplace give their reaction.
i think there is a mix of things that hold a society together, so the avaibility of guns indicats other things are locked out.
fair to note all these weapons are expensive and the rounds to shoot them with are to.

I wonder how much crime rates would be lowered if guns were banned, like canada
Bottom line (at least IMO) it is the person comiting the crime, not the gun. By the same mentality...how many cars are involved in crimes? Should we outlaw cars to reduce the crime rate?
If you really want to put a dent in the crime rate, you gotta do it at home. IMO Most 'problem' adults where problem children first, raised by problem parents. It is a vicious cycle. Stop allowing every reject to pump out families of 8, I bet the crime rates fall faster then any other precaution you could do.

Your post saved me from posting something more derogitory about "Americans and Guns"
And to all those people who really believe that "Guns don't kill people, people kill people" please pull your head out of your ass and realize the reality "People use guns to kill people".
