Agreed. Which is why I just assumed it's what everyone wore to the office now unless you get to wear jeans/t-shirt or you have to wear a suit. (No shorts or flip-flops at the office, those are for nights/weekends.)

^shorts or any kind of open toed shoe don't qualify as 'business casual' though. Collared shirt, decent pants (no jeans... khakis or dress pants usually)... decent shoes (not sneakers). That's what the vast majority of people wear to work at least in my experience.
