And the winners are . . .

10. 1896 Benz motorized tricycle
9. 1929 Dusenberg (7000 made, $20,000, which was the equivalent of $250,000 today)
8. 1955 Thunderbird
7. 1953 Corvette
6. Jeep Wagoneer (Was it a station wagon or a truck?)
5. 1964 Mustang (actually called the 1964 -1/2)
4. Chrysler Minivan
3. Toyota Corolla
2. 1949 VW Beetle
1. Model-T (Pioneered the modern assembly line.) The original SUV? Luxury options included headlights and windshield.

Great show, btw. I love those A&E list shows...always very interesting.

And the Model T was the first SUV. Think about it...most roads were made of dirt, which became mud in the rain and had to drive through all kinds of rugged terrain...not like the highway system we have today!

The Model T was also available in any color...as long as it was black...

heh

Also, I don't recall the details of this particular episode, but WTF was the rationale for having the Toyota Corolla in there?

Help me understand...

Sorry, but the best list is the COTC.

http://www.cotc.com/

First was the Model T just for what it did for the automotive industry... but 2nd was the Mini, which revolutionalized the way we drive with the same basic model built for over 40 years.

Long live the Mini!!!!
