Rumor has it that today is the start of pre-orders for Wii and PS3 at local Toys R Us stores. If so, it will certainly be the start and end day.

Anyway, a friendly heads-up... and if I see you ahead of me in line I will beat you to death to take your spot.

I wasn't going to participate in any of the madness but my wife decided we need to get my adult son-in-law a Wii for Xmas. There may not be any supply issues on Wii but nobody knows for sure. Maybe there will be a racquet-ball game and I can knock him in the kidneys with the controller, just like the real thing!

 

Only @ Toys R Us? Preorders for Gamestop and EB started 2 weeks ago. People line up as soon as the store closes, and for the people who don't mind not taking showers, they'll wait days.

 

Yep, for whatever reason today was TRU's day. We bailed when we say the 100-odd people already lined up this morning an hour before opening.

 

Just wait two or three months. All the stupid gouging will be over and all the crappy unreliable early models will be gone.
