Tragedy in auto racing
Alex Zanardi, Cart FedEx racer for the Honda Pioneer car loss both of his legs in a horrible accident in the American Memorial race that took place on the German Lausitring. Exiting the pits on the 142nd lap, he spun out where Tagliani plowed into Zanardi's car at full speed.
He had also suffered a broken pelvis and concussions as well. He was admitted into a hospital in critical condition and fortunately he is now in stable condition after going through the surgery. It is a miracle that he survived such a horrific accident, but now auto racing has loss an incredible driver having both legs amputated. After having such a sick, terrible tragedy that took place in New York and now this. My sympathy goes out to everyone that loss a close one in the terrorist attacks and for all of those that are missing someone in the rubble, Keep Your Head Up! And for a great legendary driver: Alex Zanardi, I hope he will be okay.
I saw the clip of the accident on CNN. It was a very bad accident and I am amazed he survived. I feel sorry for the loss of his legs, and I hope he recovers soon.
In the clip on CNN it showed a yellow S2000 as the pace car.
