Default Traveling TX to VA. What places/things should I stop at?

Hey all. I don't post here much because I just use the search button anytime I need but I am an avid troller. Any who, the Army is sending me from Fort Hood, TX to Fort Lee, VA and I'm looking for suggestion on thing/places to see. As well as good places to stop and rest for the night. I'll be driving the S2000 so scenic routes are a plus! I've included below, two routes I'm comparing to take. Any input on either is greatly appreciated. Trip starts 22nd of July and I have 5 days to get there. I'm also willing to meet up with fellow members for a beer or bite to eat if you want. Thanks in advance!

Spend two of those days in New Orleans.

Spend two day in Panama City, FL.

Drive like a madman on day 5 in order to make it to VA.

Even if you're not an Elvis fan, Graceland is pretty great. I love the TV room and the jungle room, it's a time capsule of 70's bad taste. He played racquetball the night before he died and his racquetball court been converted to display all his jumpsuits as well as large TVs showing concert footage.

Across the street from the mansion is is car collection, that was fun to see too.

If you don't want to see Graceland, You should consider trying to include the natchez trace parkway, very senic.

Take I30 out of Dallas to I40, then head south from Knoxville to the Tail of the Dragon.
No S2000 road trip out east is complete without going through Deal's Gap.

And I30 and I40 are a heck of a lot more scenic than I10 or I20, IMO.

I agree. Also: Cherohola Skyway, Blue Ridge Parkway. If you are into motorcycles, stop at the Barber Motorsports Museum in Birmingham and Wheels Through Time in Maggie Valley.
