Default This is a true story

Maybe I should post this in Street Encounters, but here goes. Yesterday, I'm coming home from work on Foothillhill Boulevard in La Crescenta and this guy, looked about forty, pulls up next to me at a light in a white Kia Rio and revs the engine. I ignore him. He takes off (if you can call it that) at the light. Then he slows down, gets alongside me, revs the engine, and floors it again. We're talking pathetic. After this is repeated twice more, I get him at 6k in 1st and punch it up to 9k. He's now about a block behind. He comes alongside me again and revs it again. I yell at him (really loud, I surprised myself): "What, are you f*cking stupid, or are you just f*cking trying to irritate me?" He gives me this puzzled look and then floors it again.

Sounds like you need to go get that Geo Metro, hunt this guy down, and smoke him in a real race.

(Nah, the Metro'd probably scare him.)

PS Foothillhill Boulevard? Are you suresure this wasn't a dreamdream?

Foothillhill -- I don't know how that happened. It was weird. I typed "hill," it disappeared, so I typed it again. Cyberspace!

You gotta be kidding me, in a Kia Rio!!! Damn, Fred Flintstone could beat him, and he wouldn't need Barney to help him.

Something like that hapened to me with a kid in a brand new Civic. Same results, he was way back in my rear-view mirror.

Also, a true story............

A local cop in a town North of Anchorage (Wasilla) had is bother in law cruise around town in a POS pulling the same stunt you descibed. When someone finally would waste gas on this idiot and punch it, Barney Fife would show up and cite them for anything and everything.

Just goes to show, you can never underestimate the power of stupidity -
