Some ancient lady (older than me) with super white hair in a (probably all original everything - old - maybe early 60s) Ford Fairlane wanted to race me today too. I think she was reliving her past. I run into this all the time, living near a retirement community (Seizure, I mean Leisure Village) and doing most of my S2k driving mid-day, mid-week. I blow by them on the green light, look back, they're still moving the foot from the brake to the gas.

Nope, I didn't make the Kia kill threads ("Got, smoked again," "Someone ran over my foot," "Defending the Kia name," "Finally won a race" -- short and very pathetic). I can just see it: "Smoked a Honda S2000 three out of four times yesterday on Foothillhill (for magician) in La Crescenta."

I loved some of the Kill stories

I was on the interstate the other day and saw a Civic Si. I looked over at him and gave him the race nod. He just laughed at me, so I punched it to the floor and pulled about one car length. He gassed it and started pulling away pretty fast. I stayed on it even though he pulled about six cars on me. All of a sudden I started pulling on him and passed him REALLY fast. I guess that my Kia must have hit it's power band and SMOKED him. I am SOOO stoked now.

great sense of humour they have
