[QUOTE=Harpoon,Aug 23 2008, 01:08 PM] I gained 45 pounds of muscle (and dropped an inch off the waist) in one year awhile ago by eating 6 meals a day instead of 3.

I started working out in the gym about 4 months ago, I was a measly 140lbs standing 6 feet tall about. Now, I am a solid 175lbs while still maintaining my 10% bf and ALL of my exercises I have doubled or even trippled in weight.

The key? Food, Food, Food, Food, and dedication. Truth is working out is 10% supplements, 30% gym time, 60% diet. You could work out as hard as you want in the gym but your not going to go anywhere without the proper eating backing it up.

I found PB&J sandwiches were key to me gaining weight. 1 tablespoon of PB contains 150-200 calories depending on brand. A tablespoon is nothing at all so you can basically make a big PB&J sandwich instead of taking a weight gainer and still get the same effects.

sorry, got to call BS on this. No way you put on 45lbs of lean muscle mass in a year, especially taking a couple months off. Let me guess this was all natural as well....If you are eating enough calories to gain that much weight its not all going to convert to muscle. Sorry don't mean to be rude just don't want the OP to expect something that is not ideal.
What possible motivation would I have for BSing? If you really want to help the OP, you might want consider shutting up and letting him get some good info.

If your underweight like I was, its pretty easy getting up to what you SHOULD weight. Now that I'm a healthy 175, its nearly impossible to gain weight

if you put on 45lbs of muscle in one year set up a site with your pics to back it up and you'll make money selling your "diet" because its not normal. What was your starting weight?

What motivation could you have for bs'ing? Welcome to the internetz.

anyone tried N.O. explode? any side effects? i had that for the first time and that day i got sick and trying to find out if that caused it or something else. i took one scoop of N.O. explode in the morning (between 10-11am in an empty stomach with one cup of whey protein) went to gym worked out and came home drank another serving of whey protein and had a bit too much of ice cream (i am lactose intolerance not a major case but it will make me fart and eventually diarrhea if i ingest too much) for lunch snack then around 8 or 9pm my stomach turned upside down and i was puking all the ice cream that i ate and felt like i got food poisoning. any idea? i am just scared of trying that again.

currently i m taking optimum whey protein in the morning then hit the gym and take another serving of whey protein then casein at night. what kind of food should i eat prior to working out?

If you're lactose intolerant try isolate whey or switch to soy based products.
