"tsunami song" on Hot 97 NYC
What a bunch of horrible racists those radio station hosts are!!! It's a shame they are even considered children of God when they are mocking those who have died and are dying. Miss Jones is such a racist pig and should be reprimanded.
This is completely and utterly unacceptable! SERIOUS disciplinary action should be taken agains anyone involved!
There was a time when the sun was shining bright
So I went down to the beach to catch me a tan
Then the next thing I knew, a wave twenty feet high
Came and washed your country away
And all at once you could hear the screaming ch*nks
And no one was safe from the wave
There were Africans drowning, little Chinamen swept away
You could hear God laughing, "Swim, you b*tches, swim!"
So now you're screwed, it's the tsunami
You better run or kiss your ass away, go find your mommy
I just saw her float by, a tree went through her head
and now your children will be sold to child slavery (2X)
In an attempt to minimize public outcry and escape unscathed, HOT 97

Tsunami Parody Uses Racial Slurs, Says God Laughed
POSTED: 11:53 am EST January 25, 2005
NEW YORK -- A New York City radio station thought it would be funny to make fun of the more than 200,000 people who died in the South Asian tsunami disaster.
It didn't take long for the folks at Hot 97 radio to learn people were not amused.
Several New York City Councilmembers gathered on the steps of City Hall to denounce the station which played a song that used racial slurs when referring to Asians and had lyrics about God laughing at those drowning in the waves.
The station ran the song last week.
Now City Council members want the Federal Communications Commission to take action. Queens Councilman James Gennaro said station management has to be responsible for their product.
The station's owner issued an apology after it pulled the song off the air. The station added that the seven-person staff has agreed to contribute one week's pay to the tsunami relief efforts.
On the station's Web site, they stated that they regretted the airing of the song and called the tsunami a "serious and tragic event."

I think it was meant to be a joke, but a very tasteless one.
Well, at least something is being done about it. I hate their sense of humor as much as the song itself, when one of the hosts said, "If you don't air the song, I'll start killing/shooting one Asian at a time." Are you kidding me with this?
It's one thing to be throwing around racist comments, it's another to make fun of tragic deaths. Would anyone think it's funny to make funny, racist comments about the massacres and starvations in Africa, which slaughters millions of Africans each year, in Congo, etc.?
After all that Dr. King had taught us about racial tolerance and non-prejudice, then African-Americans, of all people, had gone and basically pissed on his grave with such a disgrace for human dignity. For such, I'd say, "Shame on you!".
