so the movie The Taking Of Pelham 123 is set in the subways of new york, and i guess they gave the press the tour of some unused tunnels under new york. i love stuff like this, any other writeups on this subject please link it here! Granted i know its not very informative, but i just wanted to see if anyone else has more info.

Seriously hough, that's pretty cool. Have you ever looked down an open manhole in Manhattan? There's no dirt under the city in some places, just giant open spaces under the streets - its creepy.

That reminds me of the movie "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" where they have their hidden lair in the abandoned subways of NYC and use an old subway train as their living quarters...

I remember that cause as a child, I remember watching that movie and thinking how cool it was that they lived there without anyone knowing.

LOL!!

to the OP, a lot of cities have huge networks of underground tunnels that resemble cities. at UCLA there are a network of tunnels and an underground bridge that can lead from one end of the campus to the other end. it was pretty cool.

IIRC, i think paris has a large network of underground tunnels as well.....

Speaking of Pelham 123 ... I think that movie looks like a bust.

Edit: damn dude that wrote the article needs to take way more pics than that little scurry he did....

The previews make me think Denzel Washington is in on it.
