wow, GSP was impressive.

i know it is not the same weight class, but i would love to see anderson silva vs. gsp. both skilled strikers. that kick to the head was really something.

I've been keeping my eye on GSP from early in his fighting career and knew he'd be a top rank fighter Good to see him dominate Hughes which I don't really care for much. The most entertaining thing about Hughes are his Slams and his conditioning! Other than that, he's not that good stand up and not a much impressive Ground and Pound.

I would like to see GSP go against some of Pride's top guys in the same weight class. I think he has what it takes to be a contender in Pride. Probably not a top fighter but close. Very quick, excellent striking, conditioned, and BJJ background. Congrats GSP!

Thanks for the link. GSP looked to be in much better shape but I wonder how much the two groin kicks affected MH? That first one looked MH could taste his balls, just buried his foot in there! That'll take the fight right out of someone.

Matt Hughes is a drama queen the kicks were clean. The shin was connecting with his thigh. If they were illegal he would have had points taken from him.

In the post fight interview he even said the 2nd was a clean shot to his thigh and hit a nerve in his leg and thats why he dropped down.
