A pot (12*8oz) every day.
Brew it, drip w/ paper filter, the night before and drink it at room temperature the next day.
Usually get a medium bodied roast at Fairway Market (http://fairwaymarket.com/shop/home.php?cat=108), a local gourmet grocery store. They roast on-site and I'm never disappointed.

I in no way call myself a coffee snob with where I get coffee at. I loooove the french press but just haven't brought myself to get one yet.

I look at coffee like beer, I have no problem drinking Miller Light or another 'common' brand but I do enjoy some nice Micro-brew's every once in a while.

I personally love the taste of Starbucks coffee brewed at the store. They just use more coffee per amount of water, than I do at home. Getting a shot or 2 of espresso in a Venti Bold cup makes it a whole new deal.

The stronger the taste and kick the better in my book

[QUOTE=Elistan,Jun 7 2010, 06:27 AM] (I cannot stand the brew Starbucks sells in their stores, though - tastes totally different to me from what I make at home.

Oh, excuse me.

And reading comprehension must have failed you. I said under new management, it changed. And I also said: "YMMV".

My Keurig machine is my best friend!

I use the "My K Cup" filter to use fresh-ground Columbian beans (Capresso burr grinder) in the morning and I rotate various K cups after lunch. Green Mountain (K's in-house brand) is pretty consistently good in each style, though I've also brewed Dietrichs, Newman's Own, and Donut Shop brand K-cups.

The secret to a strong brew with "My K Cup" is an extra-fine grind, tapped to settle the grinds tightly. The machine works harder to drip through but otherwise my results were weak.
