Oddly, throughout most of Europe these days you don't even go through a checkpoint, not all the time at least.
Here is a pic of the Swedish-Norweigan border as we drove though it a couple weeks back without ever stopping .. heck even the flight from Spain to Sweden had no customs or passport check ...

SECRET AP1 thank you for very much for your support and all of you also. Please do not make this into a debate about if the system is good or not.
Like sayed before the search was ok but was pushed way to far, to a extreme limit. The lady officier conducting this, had lot's of signs of power trip. She had some kind of fustration that unfortunatly ended up on me. I dont realy know if i could have pass the borders after, it wasnt really the issue, i just wanted to get back home.

here in the USA to whats happening in Palestine.
Here we did not confiscate anyone's land, other than G.W. Bust
confiscating land for the ballpark for his baseball team.

we do not build settlements on confiscated land.

All leaders since the beginning of time have needed an enemy

what gets me is how uneducated most americans are about
world affairs or history for that matter.
we are becoming a Police State, one i would rather not be a

its so easy to repeat what youv'e been brainwashed into
believing is a truth. But without diligent research, making such

if you repeat something enough, it still doesn't make it truth.
I wont get into the economics of all the jibberish our lawmakers

I'm not going to get in to what I would consider your one sided interpretation of history and current events, but you might want to consider something. You're right, most people are historically ignorant. They are, therefore, also ignorant of the reasons for current events. All most people go by is what they see now or what they've seen during their lives. What people see is young Palestinians attempting to kill as many men, women, and even children as they can by blowing themselves up while these people are just going about their daily lives and are not hurting anyone. People have seen videos showing the parents of these bombers happily sending their children off to die. People see that it appears the vast majority of Palestinians support these actions. People don't see Israeli civilians blowing themselves up in an attempt to kill innocent Palestinians. People have seen Palestinian combatants hiding among their women and children. People can't imagine being so angry as to do such things. People have seen nonviolent social change in the US where people of different races, religions, and backgrounds have learned to live together in peace. They don't regard violence as a necessary tool to gain the acceptance of their neighbors. Therefore, people see these so called suicide bombers simply as crazy murders. Consequentially, people have sympathy for their victims, the Israelis.
BTW, why is it that the so called suicide bombers (murders in my book) are almost all very young, most in their late teens or early twenties? I find it interesting that older Palestinians are willing to send these impressionable young people off to their deaths, but they are not willing to do it themselves. Why don't the about 60 year olds have the courage (if you can call it that) to do the dirty work themselves? I believe that it is because they value their lives, but they hate the Israelis more than they love their own children. This is very sad and something I can't identify with.
