"Under God," Pledging is Out - Your .02!
(1) It only applies to the western states under the juricdiction of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
(2) The ruling is suspended for now, pending appeals.
(3) The consensus among legal scholars is that it will not stand up under appeal.

Are we going to do away with "God bless America, too? Are we going to declare all coins and currency that says "in God we trust" no longer legal tender, mint new coins, and print new bills. This was not well thought out.

Interesting...I didn't realize the "under God" part was put there in 1954. I had just assumed it was always there. When I heard about the ruling, I just rolled my eyes. Personally I don't care if it's in there or not. I will admit that I think it's a bit of an anachronism (and somewhat inaccurate, these days) along with the "In God We Trust" on our money, but I also realize it matters much more to most people than it does to me. That someone felt it necessary to waste a lot of time and money suing irritates the crap out of me. What good will it do if those words are removed? Just gonna cause John Q. Public to get all wound up over nothing...
